We're looking for a full-time, staff Senior Vice President, Business Development to join our SOC team located in Chantilly, VA.
Proven track record of accomplishments in business development with government customers, specifically with clients in the Intelligence Community, DOE, DOS, DOD and partner companies working in the areas of security, maintenance, staffing, and cyber. The SVP BD will be responsible for managing a team of business development professionals with a primary focus of creating a culture that fosters growth and winning. The SVP BD will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, developing win strategies for new markets and/or targets, leading overall corporate growth strategy, assigning capture management efforts, and mentoring the business development team. This person will serve as a primary interface with our existing customers, as well as be immediately responsible for developing new customers.
As the Senior Vice President, Business Development, here's the work you'll do:
* Grow the business by managing our BD team to win recompletes and new business opportunities. This includes identifying new business opportunities, qualifying opportunities and implementing capture plans. Strengthen and leverage customer relationships to create new opportunities or increase revenue.
* Manage customer relations strategy and plans across Government Services. Connect with key partners, know their competitive environment and assess strategic alignment factors.
* Develop win strategies for new markets and/or targets; develop a strategic plan and business solutions; formulating, communicating and implementing market strategies; shaping the customer, developing competitive assessments, discriminators, and key win themes.
* Responsible for effectively leading a team of BD consultants, support staff and SMEs.
* Participate in all phases of the business development life-cycle from initial identification of an opportunity through close-out, including gate reviews, black, hats, blue teams, proposal writing, proposal reviews and pricing strategies.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
* Creative thinking on competitive positioning, acquisition shaping, market investments, win strategy, themes, and discriminators.
* Must have a proven capability to apply process-driven capture approaches throughout the business capture processes.
* Strategic thinking and decision making to maximize probability of win
* Provide direction, mentoring and strong communication skills; the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
* A high degree of flexibility and the ability to work effectively as a key resource in a matrix organization
And if you have these qualifications:
* Master's degree preferred in business, marketing or related experience
* 12 - 15 year business development experience in defense contracting industry
* Top Secret Security Clearance
* Strong track record of winning Government contracts
* Great attitude, dependable, and team player.
* Successful completion of drug and background screening process.
