We are currently looking to hire a motivated Instructional Designer to join our team!
The Innovation and Instructional Design team at Unifi is seeking an accomplished Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designer will conduct needs analysis, design and develop highly interactive and engaging learning content in alignment with organizational goals and training needs, and measure training outcomes. The individual must thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that demands attention to detail, creativity, and consistency, providing support to the marketing, coordination, and execution of training. This position will report to the Manager of Innovation and Instructional Design.

Create complex, high-quality, and innovative instructional materials and learning solutions using proven instructional design methodology and current industry trends.
Collaborate with SME to develop course content.
Write content scripts, storyboards, practice exercises video/audio scripts, assessments, participants and facilitator guides.
Develop new and update existing print and interactive, web-based multimedia training content, incorporating various media technologies into web-based training materials.
Develop/input graphics, audio, animations, video, and interactions into training content and marketing purposes for Operational training.
Perform quality control including evaluating, testing, and editing deliverables after they are drafted or completed. Strong attention to detail a must.
Adhere to designated training materials development standards, guidelines, and style guides set forth by Unifi.
Troubleshoot technical delivery issues across multiple platforms and devices (SCORM/LMS, Tin Can (xAPI) web-delivery).
This position will also provide technical and operational support for Unifi’s learning platform.
Experience with LMS operation and maintenance is a plus: Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance, and escalation management. Monitor reoccurring issues, and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements.
Balance multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently to meet project schedules.
Practical knowledge and experience using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies required.
5+ years of experience in ID skills: needs analysis, learning objectives, SME interviewing skills, storyboarding, prototyping, content development, QA, writing participant/facilitation guides, implementation/facilitation, infographics, job aids, and experience working with eLearning standards including SCORM, AICC, and xAPI.
Proficiency required in a broad range of digital multimedia applications and technologies is required. Representative examples include but are not limited to: vector illustration, photo editing, audio editing, video editing, animation, video effects, and interactive media.
Ability to build learning interactions that require complex variables and engagement in various delivery formats (digital, VILT, ILT).
Good knowledge of design principles, patterns, and latest design trends with a strong eye for web typography, color, and layout.
Ability to structure meaningful and measurable terminal and enabling learning objectives.
Demonstrated experience and certification with authoring and graphic design tools such as Storyline, Captivate, Illustrator, Photoshop, Camtasia, SnagIt, Audition/Audacity.
2+ years of experience in LMS Administration, course management, course enrollments, troubleshooting, etc.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and training development.
Ability to design post-training support and to measure and evaluate training outcomes.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization and with different levels of technological understanding.
Ability to problem-solving in the face of ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task.
While performing the duties of this job the employee remote with required availability during set office hours. During field visits, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, and extreme cold, and extreme heat and moving mechanical parts such as propellers and jet fans and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May work various hours, nights, weekends and holidays. 25%-30% travel may be required.
Primary Location United States of America-Georgia-Atlanta. For the right candidate, remote may be a possibility.
