Work Schedule: This position is based in the Atlanta area with in-person attendance required at meetings and events in Athens every 1-2 months. The position is primarily Monday-Friday with the possibility of occasional weekend work.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field.


Position Summary: The Program Coordinator will play an integral role in the success of the Georgia College Advising Corps, a college access program that places recent college graduates into Georgia high schools as near-peer college advisers. The Program Coordinator will support the director in the areas of program implementation and evaluation. This position will coordinate purchases, travel, and training for the advisers, coach advisers based in partner schools, lead recruitment, coordinate the interview process, and assist in matching advisers to available Atlanta Public School high schools.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Basic knowledge of UGA online business services system. Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks; experience working with budgets and spreadsheets; and understanding of human resources processes. Experience with college access programs, college enrollment functions, and/or K-12 school settings.


Physical Demands: Sit for extended periods of time. Some light lifting involved. Frequent travel to Atlanta and Athens. Driving is a responsibility of this position.



Duties/Responsibilities


  1. Manage operations in Atlanta by serving as a success coach for advisers in Atlanta Public Schools.

  2. Coordinate the logistical needs of the program to facilitate training, travel, and meetings.

  3. Lead new adviser recruitment through outreach to college student groups and career centers.

  4. Collaborate with the program director to plan and deliver adviser training.

  5. Participate in meetings with program staff, advisers, and program partners.
