Kight Home Center - Punch List Cabinet Install Helper

Kight Home Center (a division of Carter Lumber) is seeking an experienced Punch List Cabinet Install Helper to perform various installations, repairs, and remodeling to homes and small buildings according to the customer’s contract. Knowledge of building materials, local building codes, and proper installation techniques will be vital in this position’s success, as well as a strong commitment to customer service. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company is necessary for this position.

Requirements to be Considered for the Position:

• Previous experience installing hardware, such as hinges and knobs is preferred, but not necessary
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
• Ability to notice and touch up paint scratches
• Ability to adjust doors and drawers on cabinets
• Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work under time constraints (overtime if required)
• Excellent finishing skills are a must
• Clean driving record and able to drive a company vehicle
• Ability to follow directions both written and verbal
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems
• Self-motivated, efficient, and detail-oriented

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Replaces or installs assigned products using the appropriate tools
• Analyzes the job site before beginning a job to ensure quality installation
• Creates and supports a safe work environment on the job site

Customer Service:

• Ensures customers are treated with respect and given high-quality workmanship
• Completes jobs timely with attention to detail and reacts to problems and complaints professionally

Knowledge & Training:

• Acquires necessary training for safe and efficient product installation
• Becomes certified in the product/area being installed for optimal customer service

Physical Aspects:

• Standing and/or walking for long periods across various surfaces
• Lifting up to 100 lbs. regularly without assistance
• Regular stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Pushing and pulling items of various weights multiple times daily
• Works in outdoor weather conditions year-round
• Tools and vehicles provided
