Compensation (Range): $15-$17/ hour

We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation’s biggest companies. Our client has a need for a Customer Service Representative. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Customer Service Representative will include:

  • Provides information/solutions as frontline support to channel partners/customers/Company personnel on product related inquiries on moderately complex policies, issues and concerns to optimize customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Note that products may include parts, whole goods or product related services.

Duties:

  • Provides responses and/or solutions to customer, dealers, and/or Company personnel inquiries concerning problems and concerns of a moderately complex level.
  • Effectively documents customer, dealer, and/or company personnel interactions and issues relating to area of responsibility.
  • Distributes additional product/service/policy information to customers, dealers, and personnel.
  • Develops common solutions to problems with team members to maintain required service levels.
  • Maintains the accuracy and availability of customer related information on-line.
  • Assists in the promotion of products/services/programs through special program offerings, special mailings and pro-active user contact.
  • Negotiates with customers, dealers and company personnel to provide the proper policy execution and adequate resolution.

Job Requirements

As a Customer Service Representative, you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Specific Position Requirements

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Worker will rotate between ISG in Urbandale (Product Team) and Financial in Johnston (Ag&Turf Team).
  • Candidates must be able to work and rotate between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift, occasional holidays, and OT based on the needs of the business.
  • Training will be on 1st shift and last approximately 10 weeks.
  • Travel to nearby Des Moines Works for a factory tour and to nearby Jensen Farms approximately twice a year. Will ride along with a full-time employee.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a Customer Support Representative, you will provide front-line technical support/information/solutions to dealers and customers on ISG, and Ag&Turf product related inquiries, issues, and concerns to optimize customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide support via multiple channels (telephone, email, and chat) while effectively documenting each interaction within case management system.
  • Create, author, and maintain support tools/solutions available online.
  • Distributes additional product/service information that is helpful to dealers and customers.
  • Maintains the accuracy and availability of dealer and customer related information on-line.
  • Interfaces with other functional groups, such as DTAC, Product Support, Field Support, and Dealer dealerships to resolve issues.
  • Participate in closed loop problem resolution process to identify, escalate, and resolve issues
  • Ability and willingness to work-off shift hours and occasional holidays to support business needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • 6 months or more customer service and/or support experience.
  • Experience in roles that required demonstration of excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a technical contact center.
  • Ability and willingness to work off-shift hours and occasional holidays to support the business.
  • Demonstrated strong computer aptitude with basic computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new computer systems/software knowledge to daily work activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to use multiple resources to research and resolve customer issues.

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Agriculture/farming experience acquired through classroom and/or hands-on operation.
  • Experience working with customers via phone, chat and/or email
  • Proficiency with a foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Russian).

EDUCATION:

  • Ideally, you will have degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
  • Bachelor of Arts/Sciences in an Agriculture, Business, Engineering or Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience in technical customer support position.
