Branch Operations Specialist (Kalamazoo, MI)

Oppenheimer & Co. Oppenheimer provides a comprehensive array of financial services with an emphasis on providing premier financial advice and guidance. The position of Branch Operations Specialist is critical to the branch running smoothly and efficiently in meeting service excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with branch control officer to ensure compliance with the firms policies and procedures
* Assist with audit preparation
* Act as liaison between the branch and all firm infrastructure areas
* Communicate effectively and efficiently with home office personnel
* Interact and support branch staff and all levels of management
* Cross train within other positions in the operations area
* Interact on routine/sensitive matters
* Support client onboarding
* Assist and track advisor recruiting efforts
* Coordinate wholesaler and other branch meetings
* Event planning
* Maintain branch performance reports
* Provide additional support to advisors and assistants, as requested by branch manager

Qualifications

* At least one year of experience or a combination of the following: customer service, operations, financial services or clerical
* Series 99 and SIE licenses (willingness to obtain within six months of employment)
* Brokerage operation experience is a plus
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
* Effective organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
* Able to work independently, proactively, innovatively while exercising sound judgment.
* Proficiency with MS Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook
* Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications and utilize search tools to find information
* Able to interface and articulate well with all levels of employees and clients in a highly professional and friendly manner
