Telesis Corporation ([ Link removed ] - Click here to apply to Technical Proposal Writer) is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer and Editor to lead the writing and editing of our new business proposals and other outward-facing TELESIS materials. Responsible for authoring/writing pieces for proposals. This individual collaborates with teams across the Company to develop technically accurate and compelling proposal sections


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with in-house and consultant Subject Matter Experts to develop proposal drafts and to edit each proposal to ensure strategy, win themes, and differentiators are reflected in the narrative
  • Serve as an integrating writer for technical narratives split amongst multiple authors, as needed
  • Provide ongoing review of the technical narrative including between color team reviews to edit and refine the "flow and "voice of the document and provide recommendations on expanding, refining and/or trimming content as needed
  • Perform pre-submission copy editing of the Technical and Business Proposals to ensure high-quality writing, consistent formatting, and compliance with the RFP's requirements, to include spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, font size, type, and page limitations.
  • Collaborate with Proposal Managers to develop and implement final changes to the proposal during the production phase
  • Copy and content edit reports, briefs, manuals, and other technical products or deliverables, aligning with project/client needs, paying close attention to flow, spelling, grammar, mechanics, punctuation, sentence structure, consistency, and accuracy
  • Collaborate with authors and technical staff on revisions, offering thoughtful feedback
  • Author original content for publication contributing to corporate thought leadership or marketing purposes
  • Provide editing support for corporate or internal documents, as needed


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field of study
  • Minimum 3 years of proposal writing and editing experience, especially with Government-funded proposals. Familiarity with editing both technical and business proposals
  • Highly skilled and detail-oriented copy and content editor
  • Effective organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment ability to work extra hours (nights and weekends) as required)
