Function background / context:The Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team is a critical component of Citi’s First Line of Defense for wholesale lending and counterparty credit risk.  It partners with businesses Citi-wide to ensure we have best-in-class risk and control capabilities.  ICM also plays an important role in Citi’s Transformation efforts by helping to drive a Citi-wide focus on wholesale credit risk management. Through ongoing investment in processes, controls, systems, and governance, ICM continues to further embed consistency and best practices across Citi, driving closer alignment between our business and regulatory goals.  The Lending Transformation Program (LTP) is a key initiative within ICM.  The goal is to transform the end-to-end wholesale lending process which will consolidate all remediation efforts for loan product processing and establish a consistent target operating model with a focus on improved processes, controls, and enhanced technology to achieve best-in-class processing capabilities to support our client franchise.ICM is looking for a highly energized, dynamic project manager with knowledge of wholesale lending and reporting.  This individual should understand the product and its supporting operating model (e.g., transaction management, reporting, controls, data and technology requirements, balance sheet, key metrics, etc.).  They should be ready to join a fast paced, world leader in the financial services industry.  The successful candidate will project manage the LTP initiative to implement an enhanced control framework across first- and second-line functions.    Key Responsibilities:Leads strategy, planning and coordination of day-to-day program / workstream activities to strengthen the wholesale lending reporting control frameworkDirects the identification and escalation of risks and issues impacting program delivery and ensures mitigation strategies are developed and executed that address key risks and issuesWorks with Program Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.Leads meetings including governance, operations, workshops and working groupsDrives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program deliveryEnsures teams understand business processes, gaps in capabilities, and changes required to address gapsValidates detailed requirements, working through solutions and managing execution and rollout of these solutions to standardize the global platform and supporting control frameworkDirects communication of program status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders and governance forumsManages team members to ensure alignment toward deliverables and providing guidanceFacilitate discussions with regulators and communicate program progressApplies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve cross functional issuesEnsures creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue logEnsures program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documentsEnsures funding has been approved for the program and projects are staffed adequatelyMaintains appropriate staffing requirements to meet program needsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparencyQualifications and Competencies:10+ years’ experience in project management and finance concentrationsBachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferredShould demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detailAbility to drive change and effectively manage projects and stakeholdersStrong organizational leadership and influencing skillsCapable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic environmentStrong business analysis, problem solving and analytical skillsPossess a strong knowledge of control design and metricsExcellent oral and written communications skills; Must be articulate and persuasive.Keen sense of urgency and eagerness for ownershipWorks well under pressure and in tight deadlines-------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Project and Program Management-------------------------------------------------Job Family:Program Management------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Salary Range:$158,140.00 - $237,200.00------------------------------------------------------Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Citi”) invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.
