Opportunity to join our client's Manufacturing facility located 30 minutes west of Rochester NY. Small team dynamic that allows for a lot of flexibility and hands-on experience with different equipment and processes. Quality / Manufacturing Technician responsible for:
Inspection of product, quality assurance
Manufacturing of molded gears
Job Responsibilities/Eessential functions:
Active participant in internal design reviews with an emphasis on Design for Manufacturing and Lean Practices.
Perform daily production audits following specific quality control plans
Responsible for root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions to address production non-conformances
Perform first article inspections, Gage R&R and Capability Studies.
Execution of PPAP's and Validation Protocols.
Monitor ongoing production quality levels to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
Recommend tooling and metrology fixturing refurbishing replacement.
Active participation on problem solving sessions
Actively involved in ISO 9001 internal and customer quality audits
Mold and process set ups in support of molding production orders
Coordination and set up of manufacturing cells for the production of gear assemblies.
Completion of incoming inspection reports for externally sourced components.
5+ Years Injection Molding Experience
Precision metrology: able to measure components within 0.0001
Familiarity with precision machining (CNC, Milling, Grinding, EDM) preferred but not required
High School Degree (or equivalent)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
