UTILIZATION REVIEW COORDINATOR - PRN
Centennial Peaks is seeking a dynamic and talented Per Diem Utilization Review (UR) Coordinator.
Centennial Peaks Hospital is a 104 bed hospital located in beautiful Louisville, CO. We are dedicated to providing a full range of mental health and chemical dependency services to the state of Colorado. We strive to enhance the mental health, safety and well-being of our patients, their families, and the community at large by providing ethical, compassionate, medically and psychologically integrated inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for psychiatric and addiction disorders. The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment is critical.
Our UR Coordinator possesses knowledge of psychiatric clinical diagnosis and the ability to articulate those indicators professionally. The UR Coordinator evaluates patient medical records to determine severity of patient’s illness and determining the appropriateness of level of care. Serves as liaison for patients and hospital with insurance companies. Negotiates and advocates for patient length of stay and level of care. Oversees utilization review activities with other departments to ensure reimbursement for services provided by the hospital. The UR Coordinator has a working knowledge of all levels of care offered and appropriately manages patient benefits.
Must have schedule flexibility.
Education: MA/MSW or RN highly preferred Bachelor’s degree in social science required.
Experience: Five or more years direct psychiatric patient care experience preferred
Licensure/Certification: Valid RN license, LCSW, or LPC preferred
Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of psychiatric care, utilization review, insurance reimbursement procedures, DSM-IV, etc. Advanced computer skills necessary. Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and written skills required.
