Power Electronics Engineer Brooklyn, NY, USA

The Power Electronics Engineer will design, analyze, and improve our wireless charging amplifier and AC/DC converter systems. This role is hands-on and will involve power electronics and resonant circuit design, and a lot of cross-discipline and cross-functional working with other team members. Reporting to the CEO, this leader will have very early hands-on experience to lead the growth of a startup in the wireless charging ecosystem across a wide range of future products that greatly impact people’s lives.

1. Lead new amplifier developments for new projects and participate in project management for amplifier and AC/DC converter tasks.
2. Develop new circuit designs for new amplifier configurations and receiver AC/DC converters based on application specific project requirements.
3. Research, fabricate, test, analyze, and implement new amplifier configurations for various operational environments.
4. Collaborate with other engineering team members on thermal, manufacturing, and mechanical developments that improve full-system reliability, increase performance and reduce cost.
5. Manage and routinely update the CEO on project status, project improvements, and other recommendations.

1. Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. 3+ years of full-time experience in power electronics design.
3. Hands-on experience designing, prototyping, analyzing, and debugging power electronics systems with operational frequencies above 100kHz.
4. Expert in PCB design and thermal analysis for high power electronic systems.
5. Excellent oral and written communication.
6. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, make effective and timely decisions, solve problems, and facilitate organizational and procedural changes.
7. Passion for creating a wireless world where the state of your battery is not a concern but a mere afterthought.

1. PhD in Electrical Engineering.
2. Prior experience in automotive or medical power electronics.
3. Prior experience designing high frequency switching amplifier design topologies, such as Class D and Class E amplifier designs.
4. Prior experience leading other engineering team members.
