Accounting/Administrative Assistant - Large Family Owned Business


About the Company and Opportunity:



  • Our client is a large, family owned company located in downtown Bethesda (Metro accessible via Bethesda Metro. Parking is available 2-3 blocks away, 5-minute walk) looking to hire a temp to perm Accounting/Administrative Assistant to start immediately.

  • This position pays $25 - $28 and hour with a yearly base salary or $45,000 - $50,000.

  • Must have at least 2 years' experience doing multi-state sales and use tax; Lawson experience is a PLUS.

  • Responsibilities include:


    • Compile and submit annual Personal Property Tax Returns

    • Compile and submit Business License renewals

    • Prepare and file Sales and Use Tax Returns

Overview of the Accounting/Administrative Assistant role:



  • Compile and submit annual Personal Property Tax Returns

  • Compile and submit Business License renewals

  • Prepare and file Sales and Use Tax Returns


Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting/Administrative Assistant:



  • Bachelor's degree or Associates in Accounting, Finance or Business related degree

  • MUST - At least 2 years' experience with Multi-State sales and use tax returns

  • Experience with personal property tax returns and business licenses a PLUS

  • Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel

  • Lawson experience is a PLUS
