What you will do Under general direction and in accordance with Company policy and procedures, US GAAP and SEC rules, performs and/or directs department personnel to prepare financial reports for senior management and the Board of Directors related to the consolidation and reporting of Company-wide results. Includes preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
How you will do it
Manages the world-wide monthly consolidation process to ensure financial reports are prepared efficiently and accurately for senior management and the Board of Directors.
Oversees preparation of the monthly internal consolidated reporting package and quarterly press release financial statements.
Supervises consolidations personnel.
Coordinates consolidated reporting matters with public accountants, business unit personnel and various corporate departments.
Manages and directs changes to the HFM reporting structure.
Directs world-wide inter-company activity and reconciliations.
Ensures appropriate accounting treatment for the Company’s equity-based compensation plans.
Ensures appropriate consolidation of the Company’s captive insurance companies.
Ensures proper internal controls are in place and appropriate documentation is maintained related to the Company’s consolidated financial reporting.
Keeps abreast of technical developments in areas of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting.
Conducts special studies and analyses as authorized and directed.
What we look for
Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in public and/or private accounting.
Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Strong interpersonal, written communication and analytical skills, including ability to work with a variety of internal customers.
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting standards.
Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Ability to meet firm deadlines.
Must also have a demonstrated ability to select, motivate, evaluate and develop personnel.
