Job Description
Role: SAP Business Analyst OTC
Duration: 5 Months

One of our top clients in San Antonio is looking for a Sr. SAP Business Analyst to deliver business solution services that meet customer needs and are aligned with IT strategies. Elicits, documents, and analyzes user requirements related to analytical business processes within enterprise.
- Requires minimal supervision and demonstrates ability to operate autonomously.
- Analyzes customer requirements to design and implement functional solution based upon best practices and in accordance with IT standards.
- Delivers solution enhancements and consulting services for best practice usage on enterprise systems, systems integration, and solution introduction. Additionally, leverages business analysis methodology such as Six Sigma to deliver business process improvements.
- Collaborates directly with customer on assigned requests including requirements gathering and clarification, scheduling, statuses, testing, issues and training while informing business advocate throughout request.
- Documents details of requests according to IT governance framework, captures or updates relevant knowledge and transitions product to support.
- Participates in and provides cross training for all areas of responsibility.
- Understand the full end-to-end business process in order to provide standardization or lean recommendations to current solutions.
- Serve as SAP configuration expert for respective system components and/or modules.
Skills required that are not in the job description:
- Must have strong Sales and Distribution (SD) and Financial Accounting (FI) skills.
- Must be able to read and understand ABAP code.
- Minimum undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Information Systems or Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- SAP certification in solutions and components relevant to these areas is preferred: Hydrocarbon value chain, Enterprise asset management, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Hire-to-Retire.
- Project Management certification preferred. Business Analyst certification preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma training and certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years diversified information technology experience and working knowledge of SAP required.
- Minimum 5 years SAP configuration experience required.
- Minimum 5 years analytical and business requirements gathering experience on information technology team required.
Candidate needs to have strong business process knowledge and the ability to provide hands on configuration for FI/SD Posting. Unique SAP O2C process, which is used mainly by their Marketing team. This system has custom cockpits for pricing which allows them to input and transmit prices to customers as well as allowing them to retrieve cash. This system also receives and loads data from SAP PI and a custom Portal, so experience to those applications will be very helpful.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements.
- Create Functional Specifications.
- Business Process Re-Engineering.
- Coordinating the SDLC.
- Change Management (helping the marketing team use the O2C process in SAP).
- Testing.
- Needs to be able to read and debug ABAP.
- Should understand SAP PI.
- No certifications required.
