Under the supervision of director or delegate, assists in the performance of clerical and administrative duties.
Education and/or Other Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent. One-on-one care training required.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of patient satisfaction.
Must have skills using computer terminal, telephone, copy machine, scanner, FAX machine.
The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
When assigned one-on-one care to a patient that is perceived to be harmful to themselves or others, positions self in patient room at bedside to maintain constant visual observation of the patient and remain within arm’s length of patient. Never leaves the patient alone or out of sight unless specifically instructed.
Receives, prioritizes and disseminates to appropriate persons or other departments. Acts as a hostess to all persons entering department.
Transcribes orders, maintains unit statistics, and enters data into computer.
Organizes and prioritizes assigned clerical duties.
Maintains safe, efficient and adequately supplied environment. This includes but is not limited to isolation supplies, printer paper, probe covers and formula.
Displays a self-directed, mature, disciplined and tactful approach to work duties.
