We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a team of talented Front-End, Back-End, and Full-Stack engineers. In this role, you’ll combine hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight to deliver innovative solutions that support customer retention and e-commerce initiatives.

Our client, a D2C company specializing in custom lawn care solutions, focuses on creating exceptional customer experiences. As Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Product Manager for Customer Retention and E-Commerce to ensure scalable, high-quality systems while fostering a culture of growth, adaptability, and balance within your team.

Your Key Responsibilities
> Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor engineers, fostering skill development and career growth.
> Technical Oversight: Provide strategic input on full-stack development, infrastructure, and CI/CD processes to ensure efficient and scalable workflows.
> Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Address challenges with flexibility and make impactful decisions balancing business needs and team well-being.
> Agile Process Management: Implement and refine effective processes leveraging Agile principles.
> Delegation & Ownership: Empower your team to take ownership of projects while offering guidance and support.
> Change Leadership: Manage change effectively, fostering adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
> Team Building: Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent that aligns with both technical and cultural standards.
> Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with product, design, and business teams to align engineering efforts with organizational goals.
> Results Orientation: Deliver measurable, impactful outcomes supporting company growth and vision.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills and Experience:
> Experience in e-commerce order management and revenue systems.
> Proven engineering management experience (M3 level or higher) in a fast-paced, startup environment.
> Strong technical expertise in full-stack development with an infrastructure generalist mindset.
> Experience leveraging CI/CD infrastructure to optimize workflows.
> Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
> A balance of detail orientation and results-driven decision-making.
> Empathy-led leadership balancing people management with business objectives.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
> Familiarity with 3PL/logistics or B2C subscription models.
> Proven success managing projects with significant customer impact.
> Experience bridging gaps between engineering, product, and business teams.
> Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, Python, and React.
