Job Description


Randolph-Macon College invites applications for the Assistant to the Vice President of Administration and Finance.

Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion, this position provides administrative support to the Vice President of Administration and Finance (VPAF).  Duties include frequent interactions with senior level administrators, Trustees, direct reports, members of the community and general public; creates, organizes, assimilates, and distributes documents for Board of Trustee Committee meetings; assists in preparing PowerPoint presentations and oversees technology used for Trustee meetings; daily management of the VPAF's calendar to include scheduling/coordinating all meetings both internal and external and securing travel needs as appropriate; assists in reviewing college contracts; oversees the procurement of office supplies for the College; maintains the Business Office website, provides general office support and other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:  A bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years of related administrative experience preferably in higher education.  Position will require high levels of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail to include strong proofreading and grammar skills.  Qualified applicants will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to work independently to compile and analyze information which will be used in various reports produced by the VPAF.  Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Adobe Professional, and other software required.
