•Actively participate in risk assessment process to support the preparation of the annual risk-based audit plan.
•Liaise with regional and Corporate leadership teams in relation to Corporate Audit activities and strategy.
•Review audit planning and programs for each engagement, ensuring audit objectives, risks, internal controls, and audit procedures are appropriately identified and documented in line with the audit methodology.
•Oversee the preparation of the risk assessment process for locational audits.
•Timely, accurately prepares audit reports for Sr. Director final review at mastery level.
•Execute on the use of data analytics throughout each engagement, ensuring they are incorporated or, at a minimum, assessed during the planning phase.
•Review and sign-off on workpapers for all staff on all audit projects.
•Oversee periodic internal control training sessions for management.
•Serve as primary deputy for Audit Sr. Director by being seen/perceived as a key business partner to senior stakeholders.
•Monitor external environment for changes in audit profession, skill set and demands and strategic direction of the audit profession by liaising with other Corporate Audits and /or external resources
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.
•Minimum 10+ years of professional experience.
•Must +5 or more years of public accounting experience and progressed to manager level.
•Must - Recent SOX experience (within past 3 years).
•Must – Managed groups of +3 or more and for at least 5yrs.
•Must – CPA or Charter Accountant certification.
