What you will do:

  • Lead efforts to establish and maintain a strong, collaborative, and high-performing business culture concerned with also maximizing overall employee experience.
  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee guidelines and policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Administer the compensation program; monitor the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Work with counsel to develop and maintain affirmative action program (AAP); files EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program and writes and places job postings.
  • Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department.
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

What You'll Need
• Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Personnel Administration or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role at a software and/or high-tech business
• Work experience working at a high growth, equity backed, software business
Bonus Points
• Master's Degree - Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Personnel Administration or related discipline
• Experience working at Venture or Private Equity backed business
• Experience In Human Resources for fast growing business
• Experience building HR practices at a business from scratch, comfortable starting with a blank canvas.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and high integrity -
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal -
• Ability to influence business leaders without direct authority -
• Strong customer services/satisfaction orientation (employee is your "customer") -
• Ability to solve problems autonomously
• Excellent administration and organizational skills.
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP/PHR or SHRM-CP
