The Position:

The Fleet Services Assistant will oversee the fleet retirement, disposal and life cycle program for one of the largest fleets in the U.S. Responsibilities include all store and DC light duty vehicles. They will also assist the fleet team with miscellaneous fleet duties.

What you will do in this position:

  • Oversee the fleet vehicle retirement/disposal program:
    • Work with current and potential vendors to facilitate the retirement of fleet vehicles through the entire auction process.
    • Coordinate with DC and field management to ensure consistent and timely removal of wrecked or end of life cycle vehicles.
    • Maintain fair auction value and turn rate for retired and disposed of vehicles working with our Copart rep.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the fleet retirement, auction and sale process:
    • Assist with cancelling fleet cards for out of service vehicles.
    • Assign and coordinate with Copart the removal and auction process of vehicles.
    • Receive, process and update payments received for auctioned vehicles.
    • Update and maintain out of service vehicle and sale information in asset management.
    • Assist in approvals and processing of retirement request forms for out of service vehicles.
    • Work with other departments to ensure timely processing of titles for sold vehicles.                                                                                     

Qualifications we would like to see:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • General knowledge of MS Office products such as Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi task
