About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Ongoing Client Due Diligence Director to drive initiatives in alignment to FCO target state as applicable, making no regretable process improvement decisions and managing BAU production with a team of around 200 employees. Will manage people, process and technology associated with the delivery of relevant BSA/AML services in this leader's purview. Responsible for alignment to risk management frameworks and risk appetite as well as addressing risk gaps in a timely fashion. Manages, lead, coach and develop employees.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop two or more specialized teams of managers and professional individual contributors with focus on client onboarding process to mitigate risk through a due diligence process for cross-functional stakeholders and internal partners associated
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for procedures, controls, analytics and trend analysis to ensure comprehensive due diligence, research and background investigations
  • Lead Due Diligence team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for with moderate to higher complexity and risk
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including experienced leadership
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Due Diligence
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 8+ years of Due Diligence experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Effective at presenting to Sr. Executives and Regulators
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory and competitive landscape
  • Experienced in management of teams of 200+
  • Experienced in process design, programmatic transformation
  • Experienced with digitization and automation a strong plus
  • Proven track record of excellent leadership, communication, writing & influencing skills
  • Balanced in the creation of both strategic vision and astute in the implementation of tactical actions
  • Resilience and relentlessness to achieve goals always in collaboration with stakeholders and teammates is essential
Work locations: Charlotte, North Carolina; New York, New York; Minneapolis, Minnesota: Des Moines, Iowa: Phoenix, Arizona; Portland, Oregon.

Pay Range
$207,900.00 - $431,900.00 Annual
