Mechanical Systems Engineer

Pay Target $85k - $120k base salary

Job Description:
Work with a recently formed company in an established industry of mineral processing. Design and build process equipment at both Pilot Plants & Commercial Scale Plants. Own the mechanical engineering and design of the equipment and systems. Work closely with chemical engineers to optimize the equipment and plant design.

Project out and direct the people resources such as mechanical engineers, designers and other consultants needed on any plant project. Participate in design reviews and review all designs. Create equipment specs, piping specs, pump sizing, scope of work, timelines, deliverables. Develop plant layout arrangement drawings, equipment lists, and data sheets. Some occasional travel to client sites required.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years Mechanical Systems Engineering experience
• Experience designing and creating mineral process engineering sites
• Experience designing mechanical equipment and sizing pumps for mineral processing
• Expertise developing equipment specs, piping specs for industrial processing sites
• Expertise with AutoCAD, and preferably Plant3D.
  • preferred experience doing design reviews of other engineers and designers
• HAZOP studies
• Bachelors Degree Mechanical Engineering or similar field

• Willing to share ideas and listen to others ideas in a small team environment
• Must be willing to travel very occasionally to client sites as needed. Should be rare, but could happen.
