Project Accountant - Billing Associate

Noblis, Inc. Herndon, VA (Onsite) Full-Time
Responsibilities

As a member of the Accounting Department, the Project Accountant Billing Associate will manage a large contract billing workload.

Responsibilities will include

* Preparing invoices and required supporting documents monthly throughout the active life of a contract as well as final invoicing and close-out support once a contract is completed,
* Creating and maintaining project workforce, reviewing project set-ups to ensure contractual billing requirements are met,
* Allocating contract funds to include utilizing ACRN functionality when applicable, for cost reimbursement, time and materials and fixed price contracts utilizing the Deltek Costpoint financial system.

Additional responsibilities will include

* Reconciling general ledger accounts, supporting the accounts receivable department with collection efforts if needed,
* Addressing any customer inquiries or special requests regarding contractual workload.
* Some overtime will be required when deadlines must be met.

Qualifications

Required:

* College graduate with a degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
* Minimum 2 years working in accounting or finance.
* Proficient in Excel
* Must be detail oriented, well organized and have an aptitude for numbers
* Able to work independently while supporting a team in a demanding environment

Desired:

* Experience in government contract billing
* Experience with Deltek Costpoint
* Able to adapt and learn quickly
* Able to solve a variety of problems applying standard methodologies
* Desire to be part of a high-performing team

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.
