The Opportunity:

Enel North America works closely with businesses and institutions to develop, execute, and continually refine a holistic energy strategy designed to achieve their desired outcomes through our suite of solutions and services. The Market Intelligence & Analytics Intern will help the analyst team to deliver Enel’s Advisory Solutions to a wide array of enterprise customers by supporting thought leadership, customer delivery, and product advancement. This individual will work on projects spanning over multiple months as well as day-to-day analyses and research that address energy procurement related deliverables.

The ideal candidate will possess above average project management and analytical skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills, and is eager to learn about energy markets. A successful candidate that demonstrates the desired skills and competencies can become eligible for full time employment consideration at the conclusion of the internship.

This is a six (6) month internship program that runs from June 2022 through November 2022. Applicants must be willing to commit to a 40-hour workweek schedule while employed.



What You'll Do at Enel:

Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

  • Assist analysts with customer-facing reports and deliverables;
  • Gather, synthesize, and draw inferences from diverse datasets;
  • Perform detailed research and analysis (qualitative and quantitative) on energy market fundamentals, policy, and utility trends to shape path forward decisions;
  • Monitor wholesale energy market movements, and provide written commentary to internal team;
  • Support and facilitate the production of daily, weekly, and monthly market intelligence collateral;
  • Create, enhance and maintain customer deliverable models;
  • Improve scalability, quality, and operational efficiency by assisting with tool development and process improvement;
  • Conduct other ad hoc analyses and administrative duties as required by internal/external customers.


Who You Are:

  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large data sets;
  • Familiarity with BI tool visualization and/or programming language a definite plus, but not a required;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-driven context;
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize workload across multiple projects;
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analytical and solution-based problem solving;
  • Superior attention to detail;
  • Possess a driven, self-motived attitude.


What You've Accomplished:

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college and/or university pursuing a B.A. or B.S. undergraduate degree or recent grad of Business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering or a related field with a substantial interest, if not experience, in the energy industry;
  • GPA of 3.25+
