AWS Senior Software Engineer IV with Security Clearance

Overview ISHPI is currently seeking candidates in support of The Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC- NJ ), on behalf of the United States (U.S.) Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center ( DEVCOM AC) , Weapons and Software Engineering Center (WSEC) , Armament Center Software Factory (ACSF) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. Responsibilities Provide AWS Senior Software Engineer performance in support of the Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) contract. * Develop infrastructure automation to deploy, secure, orchestrate, and manage, AWS resources.
* Design and develop CICD pipelines for infrastructure and containerized application deployments.
* Play a key role in migrating and transforming legacy solutions to AWS.
* Build, maintain and participate in execution of disaster recovery strategies and plan for AWS Cloud Infrastructure * Shall provide architecture, systems engineering, software engineering, and software development support utilizing AWS IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services based on industry best practices for the ACSF development and maintenance * Shall provide support for the ACSF containerization strategy, hardening containers per DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) providing necessary updates to software components * Shall create, support, maintain and enhance EKS clusters located in separate development, test, and production VPCs allowing the Government to run containerized workloads on top of AWS EC2 Virtual Machine (VM) hosts running cArmy provided Windows and RHEL operating system images. * Shall create, support, maintain and enhance automated Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines with GitLab and GitLab runner components running within EKS integrating automated build, static code analysis, software composition analysis, unit, component , and system testing, containerization and future deployment activities defined within the ACSF by the Government. * Shall plan, architect, design, develop, automate testing and reporting, deploy and maintain software , software libraries and their associated documentation meeting Armament SEC Software Engineering Data Package (SEDP) requirements that support ACSF capabilities as directed by the Government . * Shall enable, support, and maintain the resources required for the automated collection, storage, and sharing of CI pipeline job generated metrics. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree preferably in STEM from an accredited institution. Certification: Comptia Security+ ce and AWS Certified Developer Associate and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Experience: 5 years of relevant IT experience in a DevOps role At least 3 years of experience in AWS Understand AWS Well-Architected framework Experience working in AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, ECS , EKS, ELB, KMS, IAM ,Lambda, Cloud Watch, CloudFront Proficient in AWS IAC using AWS CDK (TypeScript), CloudFormation & other tools. Familiarity with containerization Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience working with clients to understand their requirements and design solutions that meet their needs Preferred Experience: * Solid understanding of version control and using Git. * Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline process * Experience using REST API's. * Experience with remote system and container administration methods Security Clearance: Requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
