Our Weaving Manager position will be hands-on and managing our weaving operations. Plans and assigns work, assists in implementing policies and procedures, recommends improvement in production methods, equipment and working conditions. Also responsible for meeting internal and external customer supply demands, overseeing narrow fabric production per customer specifications and ability to troubleshoot problems and perform and record quality checks.

Candidates from very similar fields are welcome as training can be provided to round out our tech’s skills who already have Mueller / Narrow Fabric / Jacquard experience in very similar fields to Narrow Woven Nylon Fabric.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience in a textile weaving manufacturing environment, with emphasis on Mueller, Jakob NF/NFJ Mueller narrow weave preferred, and/or Jacquard Looms 


  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience with production scheduling and planning background


  • Knowledge of equipment/tools needed for production, with a natural ability to tackle manufacturing problems


  • Experience working with Nylon 6, Nylon 6,6 and/or other synthetic or natural yarns 


  • Possesses full knowledge and understanding of process capabilities for the plant.


  • Write and update Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures for all functions in the plant in accordance with ISO 9001 standards


  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems


  • Perform and record quality checks, including operation of lab testing equipment in house


  • Excellent customer service and analytical skills.


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.


  • Ability to interpret specification sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


  • Strong supervisory skills essential with the demonstrated ability to lead and get results through others.


  • Ability to effectively cross train and develop staff.


  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate.


  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 


What will you do?

  • Provide direction and assist wtih looms and weaving production on the floor


  • Capable of analyzing new products and creating patterns/designs for manufacturing.


  • Responsible for meeting production targets and delivery deadlines.


  • Able to balance quality productivity, cost, and safety to meet departmental goals.


  • Monitor performance measures including visual controls and provide progress reports as needed. 


  • Maintain proper inventory levels.


  • Prepare/verify quality of products for shipment.


  • Ensure guidance for daily workflow.


  • Ensures effective employee relations.


  • Work closely with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.


  • Train, motivate, and develop a team; providing support as needed.


  • Check/monitor/log time and attendance.
