Prepare monthly financial reports – prepare monthly journal entries, financial statement preparation and bank reconciliations. Submit to Finance Director for review and approval in order to finalize reporting within the designated timeframe. Oversee Accounts Receivable process – monitor cash receipts, review and bill tenant recurring charges and billing adjustments and perform tenant ledger reconciliations. Coordinate Accounts Payable process –review invoice coding and approvals, and ensure proper audit trail is in place. Collect and Maintain Monthly Sales Information – run lockbox and ACH reports and prepare for entry into accounting system Review and approve lease abstracts to ensure accurate billing and entry into accounting system. Assist Property Management with the collections process Assist with annual budget preparation – compile key assumptions and capital budget information, maintain lease level budgeting for all tenants, review and enter budget information into the accounting system, process estimates for miscellaneous income and specialty leasing. Annual year-end reconciliation process – CAM, percentage rent, insurance utilities, sewer/trash, real estate taxes. Coordinate payroll reporting process. Assist in all audits at the property. Review and Approve manual billing adjustments and send for processing and posting. Perform tenant ledger reconciliation to ensure proper cash application Prepare/review and properly document journal entries Review and post accruals and accrual entries Assist with Budgets and Forecasts as needed Assist with the calculation of fees as needed Responsible for cash management of assigned properties Ensure that all bank statements are reconciled on a timely basis and follow up on all outstanding check and reconciling items. Ensure compliance with both Jones Lang LaSalle Internal audit and Client Accounting Services SAS 70 internal review standards. Perform complex financial analyses with minimal supervision such as Cost Benefit Analysis, Cost Segregation Study. Communicates financial and operational performance results, and participates in the development of formal recommendations and presentations to client’s leadership team business partners. Prepare quarterly GAAP financials in conjunction with quarterly audit – maintain straight-line rent, depreciation, and purchase accounting schedules. Prepare monthly and quarterly financials for debt service, submit reimbursements for escrowed funds, and monitor monthly waterfalls. Be well versed in Yardi. Any and other task as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
5 years accounting experience required
Microsoft office product knowledge, Excel and real estate accounting software preferred
