Job purpose

Full time job available for an IT help desk / Sales support in a fast paced Janitorial Supply Company located in Benicia. This is an immediate position that offers excellent benefits, competitive pay, and a fun group of people. Qualified candidates will have the ability to think analytically, and be excited about working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Proactively identify computer problems and perform/recommend solutions
  • Support end users at their desktops and via phone and email
  • Provide troubleshooting, information, and consultation in a networked environment
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop applications, networking applications, and information access tools on computers equipped with Windows
  • Maintain printers and other peripherals, provide hardware services (installing memory, system board, hard drives, etc.)
  • Maintain and support mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets and laptops
  • Performs other related duties or special project as assigned or directed
  • Maintain VoIP (Jive) phone system
  • Maintain Cell phones for sales department (purchase, setup, troubleshoot)
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Assemble and distribute management reports as needed
  • Assist Sales team with inquiries ie. Product data, customer usage reports, training, etc
  • Training end users on new reports, dashboards, various software apps 
  • Support Customer Service activities, including order entry
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

Qualifications

  • 1 year related previous experience in a technical support position,
  • Network proficiency and an understanding of IP networking
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Active Directory administration and knowledge of Microsoft systems
  • Strong understanding of switches, routers, hubs and firewalls
  • Ability to work with staff and members in a professional, approachable, and positive manner
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, and documentation skills
  • Demonstrates proficiency and through knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook applications
