DSV Air and Sea, Inc. is currently seeking an Ocean Import Agent (International Transportation / Logistics) to join our team of international freight forwarders. As an Ocean Import Agent with DSV, you will be working in a contemporary and diverse office environment.

As an Ocean Import Agent (International Transportation / Logistics) with DSV, you will be responsible for the coordination of Air Import shipments, with the goal of achieving the highest level of accuracy, productivity, customer satisfaction, and achieve overall operational excellence.

Additional responsibilities as an Ocean Import Agent (International Transportation / Logistics) include:

  • Executing shipments, utilizing our global TMS platform, eEnterprise by Cargo wise

  • Communicating with clients, US and overseas colleagues, as well as various transportation vendors, including airlines, warehouses, and trucking companies

  • Coordinating documentation and follow-up with US Government agencies for a seamless logistics experience for our clients

  • Following DSV’s company policies and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Familiarizing yourself with customer and vendor agreements

  • Assisting with vendor negotiations

  • Preparing proposals to existing and prospective clients

  • Supporting the sales department

  • Billing and auditing vendor invoices

  • Updating customer profiles

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is well organized, and able to multitask in a high volume environment.

Additional requirements as an Ocean Import Agent (International Transportation / Logistics) include:

  • Industry experience or some college, preferred

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Good knowledge of world geography

  • Good Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn various applications

  • Knowledge of EDI Enterprise, a plus

  • Ability to resolve problems efficiently and independently
