Lynkd, a Business Division with Holman Enterprises has a terrific opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer.

Primary Purpose of Position

• Plan and design the application architecture for new projects
• Ability to dissect and delegate out work to respective team members
• Review the work of other engineers on the team, and provide constructive feedback
• Research new technologies that can make projects and team more efficient
• Work with team members to provide project and work estimates
• Ensure application security guidelines are met
• Take on complex programming tasks
• Consult with other Leads on new project work
• Meet with management and review use case creation/project planning
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies/industry trends
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Relevant Work Experience:

• 3-7 years’ experience managing a software development/engineering team

• 10+ years professional experience building web applications
• Thorough knowledge in at least one Object Oriented Language (Ruby, C#, Python) is essential
• Experience in using an ORM like Active Record or Entity Framework
• Heroku and/or Amazon Web Service Experience
• Firm grasp of OOP & SOLID design principles
• Expertise and hands on experience with front-end web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs

• Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
• Experience using React
• Node.js & Docker experience
• Experience building complex, highly scalable customer facing software systems
• Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of GIT
• A knack for writing clean, readable code
• Can run an effective meeting for large groups.
• Have a breadth of knowledge in various programming languages and cloud based technologies
• Can run an effective agile or scrum based project
• Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a strong working relationship with staff members, end-users and management.
• Can organize and manage multiple projects to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Can scope complex projects and set deliverables based on resources and deadlines with limited supervision and within most business processes.
• Can gather, create, or participate in the creation of project documentation for complex sized projects with limited supervision and within most business processes.
• With limited supervision can translate requirements into system design to resolve the business requirements for complex sized projects
• Able to work in an agile environment with a focus on continuous integration.
• Strong ability to provide reasonable and fair estimates on assigned tasks and projects.

Education and/or Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Amazon Certification, PMP Certification are helpful but not a must.
