Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary
Supports manufacturing in the resolution of manufacturing issues and provides manufacturing with tools and engineering support to implement new products into production and in the resolution of manufacturing issues. Leads process design functions to determine product flow through the manufacturing cell by use of current engineering and continuous improvement techniques. Establishes resource requirements and material flow using industrial engineering techniques and internal Company standards. Analyzes various product structures and processes in order to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce manufacturing costs. Performs Design of Experiment (DOE) analysis to determine optimum operating parameters to achieve the most efficient cell. Monitors and controls objectives and costs of assigned project and establishes program time lines. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. May provide work direction and/or supervision to other staff.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, implements, and maintains operational-level strategies and objectives and monitors performance against plan
  • Demonstrate, teach, and apply principles of engineering, technical problem solving, and reporting of technical development.
  • Coordinate and develop engineering team in best practices.
  • Lead and support efforts to identify and eliminate non-value-added operations and improve manufacturing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Build engineering team skills through proactive recommendations on in-house and outside training and development opportunities for each team member.
  • Provide leadership for process, product and equipment cost analysis that contribute to improved performance.
  • Utilizing participative management and lean manufacturing philosophies and techniques, leads, manages, and provides technical expertise and work direction to manufacturing teams.


Qualifications
In order to be considered candidates must demonstrate examples of the below listed experiences.

  • Directly worked within an a high pace manufacturing environment
  • Created FMEAs or PFMEAsdocuments
  • Successfully developed control plans
  • Has successfully completed multiple program launches annually
  • Has lead multiple continuous improvement projects
