PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN - Great Long Term Opportunity with Manufacturing Facility Production / Manufacturing Industrial Facility in Pearl River County MS General Job Description: Working with production department in plant environment. Rotating 12 hour shifts 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. / 8p.m. - 8 a.m.

 Duties will include:

  • •         Changing screens on production lines on hourly basis. Scraping and/or properly cleaning screens.
  • •         Verifying conformance to quality.
  • •         Monitoring and evaluating product quality and weight as scheduled per shift.
  • •          Reporting quality issues to production floor foreman.
  • •         Monitoring raw material levels in the supply bins.
  • •         Communicating demand requirements to production floor foreman.
  • •         Taking temperature readings as scheduled per shift.
  • •          Performing written documentation of results on Daily Assistant Foreman's checklist.
  • •          Maintaining work area to ensure proper housekeeping practices and a safe work environment.
  • •         Complying with and following ISO-9002 quality program.
  • •          Ensuring that floor foreman and foreman are informed of problems, changes, and work related issues, such as a scheduled break times and lunch periods.

Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms; must be able to talk and hear to communicate with co-workers and management. Must be able to see and hear to operate material handling equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Heavy lifting, walking, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and maintain balance..

This position requires rotating shifts which all employees are expected to work, must have steel toe boots, and a strong safety mindset.

Testing will be required at the time of interviewing which will include General Industrial Knowledge, Safety in the Workplace, forklift test, and several other test to be determined by position considered.
