Senior Accountant

Derived Salary: $75000 - $85000/Year

The Senior Accountant will assist the Accounting Manager in the ownership of the general ledger, month-end close and proper overall financial statement presentation and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver and collaborative team player with strong quantitative and qualitative skills and an incredible work ethic. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  1. Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  2. Ensure appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with US GAAP
  3. Perform variance reviews of G&A and other company costs. Communicate and follow up with business partners to ensure that open/outstanding issues are resolved in a timely manner
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and legal, to support overall business objectives
  5. Work closely with various departments to become a reliable resource for finance related inquiries and partner with teams to add financial insights into decision making processes
  6. Contribute to the timely and successful completion of audits (internal and external), including coordination with auditors, providing necessary support in a timely manner, and maintaining appropriate documentation of work for internal controls
  7. Implement best practices to streamline procedures and improve accuracy. Play a key role in general process improvements and process documentation for all facets of the accounting cycle
  8. Responsible for researching and resolving various technical accounting issues
  9. A key contact for the financial statement audit and quarterly reviews
  10. Perform ad hoc requests or special projects, as needed
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. CPA designation is highly preferred. Will consider CPA candidate
  2. Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, preferably a mix of public accounting and industry
  3. Proven experience as an accountant, with increasing levels of responsibility
  4. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
  5. Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills
  6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  9. Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  10. Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing business requirements

$75,000 - $85,000 a year

Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual’s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training, and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.
