ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Supervise and coordinate a wide variety of Human Resource department functions such as employee relations, recruiting, compliance, EEO/AAP, personnel records maintenance, employee benefits programs, special services and counseling, safety, security, first aid and medical services, job evaluation, wage and salary administration, employee training, company-community relations and HRIS support. Work closely with all levels of management in maintaining an adequate work force in the company’s facilities and in the development and improvement of personnel policies and procedures and in resolving personnel problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform and/or exercise supervision over the performance of various Human Resource management functions including recruiting for all levels, setting up, maintaining and safeguarding employee records, compliance, EEO/AAP, job evaluation, performance review, wage and salary administration, training, safety, first aid and medical services, employee benefits, location security, recreation, community relations, employee counseling and employee relations.
• Continuously appraise and report on the effectiveness of Human Resource policies, plans and programs. Recommend to management necessary revisions and/or adoption of new personnel policies, plans and programs. Work closely with management and supervisors in all phases of recruiting and make recommendations on hiring decisions.
• Work on various phases of job evaluation, wage and salary administration, and performance review. Write job descriptions and specifications; make wage and salary surveys and assist in developing wage and salary structures for factory, office, supervisory, professional and managerial classifications.
• Ensure close adherence by employees at all levels to company Human Resource policies and procedures. Work closely with and assist supervisors in the solution of personnel problems, handling of performance review, employee selection, changes in compensation, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, terminations, and employee benefits.
• Oversee compliance programs including, STD/FMLA, I-9, EEO/AAP and recommend periodic updates to the salary employee handbook.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to develop relationships and establish credibility
• Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and work well with and through others
• Must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, a team player, and able to consistently meet or beat deadlines
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; handle multiple tasks; prioritize responsibilities; and handle high pressure situations
• Strong self-starter and ability to work independently and with little supervision

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of Products, including Word and PowerPoint and the ADP/Enterprise system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S/ BA degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or equivalent field required.
• Requires 5 to 10 years of diversified experience in all phases of Human Resource Management involving factory, office, supervisory, professional, and managerial personnel.
