Job Description:

The Civil Project manager will Evaluate plans & specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction. Directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.

Daily Tasks:

- Manage numerous subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of roughly 25 employees among various sites. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Order procurement of tools, equipment, and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules. Ensure proper permits and other regulatory requirements are in place.

- Evaluate documents to evaluate scope, price, risk, timing, and other resources to negotiate and put in place contracts, subcontracts and changes in scope of work; RFI's and submittals.

- Manage supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods. Acts as public spokesperson interfacing with concerned public and regulatory officials. Oversee supervisory personnel and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within work force.

- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.

- Prepare or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports. Manage and project job cost.

- Conduct construction activities within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.

-Coordinate projects; communicates changes and progress; completes projects on time and budget; manages project team activities.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five years + related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

-Knowledge of Foundation Software or similar software for accounting and project management.

- Experience with Bluebeam Design software; Microsoft Word Word; Microsoft Excel.

- Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

- Able to read and comprehend civil plans

- Mathematical Proficiency.
