Become an Underground Detailed Inspection (UDI) General Foreman at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be responsible for the supervision of multiple crews performing construction, inspection, and maintenance activities. You will oversee all aspects directly related to inspection and maintenance activities including resource utilization, crew efficiency and safe work practices.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

* Supervises, trains, and performs quality control checks of contract crews.
* Collaborates with direct reports, peers, and management regarding daily work activities.
* Reviews and approves all repair work, ensures the appropriate maintenance priority and timeframes are assigned, and documents all vital data/information.
* Manages progress on the annual inspection and maintenance programs.
* Responsible for meeting established financial, safety, customer satisfaction and reliability goals as they relate directly to Distribution, Construction, Inspection and Maintenance.
* Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
* Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned.


The essentials

* Two or more years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman.
* Two or more years in an electric utility performing or supervising in planning, design, construction, maintenance, standards & development, system operations, field operations, engineering, or construction project management
* Supervisory and/or team leadership experience.
* Possess and be able to maintain a valid Driver's License.

The preferred

* Experience with electrical distribution system in underground construction, maintenance, and operations.
* Leading represented union workforce to adhere with IBEW collective bargaining agreement.
* Performing inspection priority rating processes, distribution inspections, and maintenance programs associated with regulatory requirements.
* Implementing quality assurance, cost per inspection, and annual maintenance programs.
* Experience with environmental compliance and hazardous waste management of transformers and other oil-filled electrical equipment.
* Experience with GO 95, 128, 165 and Accident Prevention Manual safety rules.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Associate Degree.
