Accounting Manager

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the monthly close and overall care of the financial statements of certain entities. This includes a heavy emphasis on the analysis of the income statement accounts, consolidation of financials, preparation of the income statement, the preparation of new reports, and overall integrity of statements. Other main functions include maintaining our financial reports, partnering with our UK counterparts to coordinate periodic reporting, and maintain reporting for budget tool. Individual should have a full understanding of appropriate GAAP and associated business processes. A qualified individual must be detailed oriented, have strong analytical skills, and display a strong work ethic. The individual must be able to communicate with other entities and departments regarding accounting impact and functionality. The Financial Reporting Manager will also be responsible for the management and development of the Lead Accountant. This position will report directly to the Controller.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures an accurate and timely close process by overseeing close procedures and the preparation of monthly financial statements involving multiple countries and currencies

  • Performs reviews of Financial Reporting Packages to ensure accuracy and relevance and work with Leadership to improve/develop new reporting

  • Partner with UK Accounting counterparts to ensure accurate and timely reporting for consolidations

  • Maintain data integrity/reporting of budgeting tool to assist Analyst team in preparation of annual budget

  • Analyze current processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements

  • Work on special projects as needed across all Financial Reporting Teams

  • Manage, develop, and evaluate Accounting Lead

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:

  • They should have a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely reporting and should be able to hit the ground running within a high performing corporate finance department.

  • Experienced with overall financial close - including preparation of general ledger reconciliations

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders and corporate departments

  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills

  • Capable of balancing multiple work demands and setting priorities to meet strict deadlines

  • Ability to effectively evaluate talent and hold team member, peers, and supervisors accountable

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and especially Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with PeopleSoft & Oracle Hyperion Financial Management a plus

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or CPA

2+ years supervisory experience

5+ years of work experience related to financial accounting/reporting

Displays strong leadership qualitiesBase salary: $105,000-$120,000 plus bonus
