Cisco Pre Sales Design Engineer

Our client, a professional services system integrator, is in need of a Cisco Pre Sales Engineer for a full-time position. The Pre Sales Engineer's main responsibilities are, but not limited to; partnering with Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing Cisco product solutions, explaining features and benefits to customers and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs, providing an architectural perspective across the Cisco product portfolio and assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years experience working in a Pre Sales environment
  • Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge with Cisco Suite; Data Center, Collaboration, Security or Route/Switch/Wireless
  • Strong understanding of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications
  • Must be able to present well, strong communication skill and act as a client facing professional.
  • Must be able to report into Sacramento CA.

Nice to Have:

  • Cisco R&S/Security/Collab certifications.
  • History selling and/or supporting projects within the state of CA. 
  • Understanding of E-rate & CA Teleconnect Fund
Must be within driving distance to Sacramento, CA
