Job Details
A dynamic and high-growth organization is seeking a Vice President of Information Security to lead the strategic vision and execution of enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives. This role is instrumental in protecting the company’s digital infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, and aligning security programs with evolving threats, business objectives, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the VP will oversee the organization’s security strategy, managing both internal teams and third-party vendors. This individual will collaborate across departments—including legal, compliance, risk, audit, operations, and IT—to embed a culture of security throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic oversight and execution of the enterprise-wide information security program.
- Manage and mentor cybersecurity teams and external partners to implement effective security controls.
- Develop and implement a holistic security strategy aligned with industry best practices and business needs.
- Identify, assess, and address current and future security risks through robust risk management frameworks.
- Coordinate incident response efforts, leading cross-functional teams during security events and ensuring rapid resolution.
- Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
- Evaluate the security posture of third-party vendors and ensure adherence to stringent security protocols.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure security integration into business and technology processes.
- Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on evolving security technologies, trends, and regulatory changes.
Knowledge and Skills
- Expertise in cybersecurity tools including endpoint security, intrusion prevention, and data loss prevention systems.
- Broad knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, including network, cloud, application, and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27002 & 27799, COBIT, and ITIL.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and executing cybersecurity strategies and awareness programs.
- Proven ability to lead security incident response, vendor risk assessments, and secure system architecture.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional security projects and regulatory compliance initiatives.
