POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for developing, executing and overseeing marketing strategies (including tactical implementation) for Everence products and services as assigned, to Everence-identified target audiences.  Utilize multi-channel, multi-touch marketing approaches across customer decision journey touchpoints to help Everence clients and prospects integrate their faith and values with their financial decisions, reinforce the Everence brand, and advance the company’s corporate objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Provide marketing expertise to assigned product/service areas (in coordination with the appropriate field and/or product management), including the development, administration, and monitoring of competitive analyses, strategic marketing plans, and key performance metrics. 
  2. Integrate the Everence brand in all marketing strategies and tactics, deliver meaningful customer experience (through the utilization of market research, digital analytics, market data, customer personas, etc.), and generate and nurture marketing and sales leads.
  3. Align product and service marketing plans and activities with the Everence corporate marketing plan, direction and objectives.
  4. Develop and manage marketing budgets for assigned areas as required.
  5. Develop, monitor, evaluate and update appropriate Web and digital content that aligns with Everence digital and content marketing strategies. 
  6. Track and analyze marketing initiatives and campaigns to understand customer behavior and overall marketing success.
  7. Perform creative service functions, such as copy development or graphic design, as assigned.
  8. Coordinate and monitor activities for marketing and communications projects in assigned areas to:  a) develop and monitor schedules to meet agreed-upon deadlines; b) coordinate project details to ensure accurate and effective completion of communication projects; and c) gain approvals (internal, external, compliance/regulatory, etc.).
  9. Represent Everence in professional associations and inter-agency committees as required.
  10. Continue to grow in awareness and knowledge of Everence, its products and services, its clients and their customer experiences, the church, and current marketing trends and practices.
  11. Be familiar with and uphold the Everence writing, design and digital standards.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required.

Experience:

  1. Preferred three or more years of proven marketing and/or communications experience, including creative work (such as writing or design) and marketing plan development and implementation.
  2. In-depth experience in planning and executing marketing initiatives and tactics across traditional and digital channels.
  3. Strong understanding of lead generation best practices.
  4. Website content management experience a plus.
  5. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  6. Proven ability to successfully manage relationships with a variety of personalities.
  7. Financial services and/or insurance experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to take initiative, organize diverse tasks, work independently, and integrate and pursue corporate strategy.
  2. Ability to effectively work as part of a team and lead cross-functional teams.
  3. Ability to effectively interact with various parties across and outside the organization.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly communicate information.
  5. Effective public speaking and presentation skills a plus.
  6. Ability to manage a budget.
  7. Strong project management, communication, organization and collaboration skills.
  8. Computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office programs and web content management.
  9. Knowledge of Mennonite and related Anabaptist church values extremely helpful.
  10. More or less 15% of overnight travel away from home.
