Job Description

Job Classification: Full-Time Regular Immediate opening at a Decatur, Georgia boutique law firm (Metro Atlanta) for an Administrative Assistant/ Front Office Assistant/ Legal Billing Specialist. This position reports to and assists the Firm Administrator in all areas of day to day operations.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

* Assist partners and staff as needed.
* Assist with various accounting duties to include Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.
* Assist with all aspects of Monthly Client Billing, including the preparation & printing of invoices for mailing and/or various electronic formats.
* Enter billable time for legal support staff and other data entry.
* Set up new client and firm files, to include closing of client files.
* Assist with various human resource duties.
* Assist and maintain relationships with vendors & client related issues.
* Make copies and scan documents.
* Maintain daily client filing.
* Assist with distribution of mail.
* Assist with receptionist duties to include daily phone coverage during lunch periods and/or absences.
* Assist with event planning for the firm and/or staff.
* Assist with maintaining the appearance and upkeep of the office.
* Run firm errands as needed.
* Other admin duties as assigned.

Required background for this position:

* 4-year degree preferred
* Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience preferably with a law firm or in an executive/upper management role.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, familiarity with Orion, Quickbooks and Ready Collect a plus, but not a requirement
* Strong grammatical skills
* self-starter; ability to multi-task and problem solve; detailed oriented; possess a professional and cheerful demeanor. Confidentiality and discretion a must.
