Automated Welder- 3rd Shift

To set up, adjust, maintain and efficiently operate laser, computer, or manually guided: welding machines, press breaks and/or cutting machines. Use computerized manufacturing technologies to lead and guide the initial phase of the fabrication process.


* Uses computerized manufacturing technologies or related systems to meet production and customer requirements.

* Performs set-up duties on fabrication equipment and the safety devices in accordance with production documentation.

* Positions production materials and tooling and maintains accurate dimensions according to print specifications.

* Operates and adjusts various equipment, including controllers, and edits programs according to production documentation.

* Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.

* Follows all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to team leader or appropriate resource.

* Ensures that products and systems meet CADDY quality standards.

* Inspects work to ensure accurate dimensional requirements are met per prints.

* Performs specified preventative maintenance procedures, and assists Maintenance and outside sources with trouble-shooting systems.

* Takes action and notifies appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc.

* Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

* Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.

* May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.


* High School Diploma or G.E.D.


* Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required

* Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.

* Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving

* Skills or Ability in mechanical repairs or troubleshooting

* Fork truck licensed or ability to acquire one.

* Ability to lift, slide and shake heavy gauges of material.

* Ability to read and use measuring equipment (i.e. tape measure, caliper )

* Ability to identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor.

* Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
