Apptega is looking to hire an energetic and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Software Manager. Get in on the development of an established and growing platform in the Cybersecurity space. The Quality Assurance (QA) Software Manager is an instrumental member of the project team, helping to ensure that a solution fits the end user's needs. QA Software Manager works closely with the CTO, the Product Owners, the Developers, and the entire project team to review the overall functional and non-functional requirements while keeping a user's perspective in mind.

A typical day in this role may include the following:
  • Directing the QA team for comprehensive testing of application development and production releases
  • Lead the Test Automation efforts
  • Mentoring QA team members in effective testing strategies
  • Leading the development of automation for smoke test, regression, and stress testing
  • Able to create and execute test cases, stay organized in testing efforts, and accurately identify, document, and report software defects
  • Analyzing non-functional requirements and technical designs
  • Identify defects and drive them to resolution.
  • Review requirements and design specifications for clear acceptance test criteria
  • Advise the Product Creation team regarding requirements and design testability
  • Advocate for QA best practices during all stages of the project
  • Develop, communicate, and implement comprehensive QA strategies to ensure testing coverage over the duration of a project
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and business users to understand use cases and requirements
  • Reproduce, analyze, and document software defects.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine, implement, and continually improve on our software development best practices
  • Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance product creation team.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate quality testing efforts.
  • Design and implement automated testing solutions and integrate them into a continuous integration/delivery pipeline.
  • Collaborate in a consultative environment
  • Guide our clients in best practices to achieve great project success

NOTE: This is a hybrid role - 2 to 3 days in office, the remainder remote. Candidates must be within commuting distance to our mid-town Atlanta office.

Requirements

What you have:
  • 7+ years of quality assurance experience in application and cloud environments.
  • Experience in a QA Lead or QA management role
  • Experience in SW testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Tricentis, or Testim
  • Experience with Testing Automation
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
  • Deep understanding of testing best practices as applied to SaaS cloud platforms
  • Prior startup experience is a plus, ideally in the B2B SaaS space or Cybersecurity
  • Experience with full product lifecycle with an understanding of the software development lifecycle and various methodologies that support that lifecycle
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Haves:
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Experience testing API endpoints using Postman or similar tools is a plus.
  • SQL usage
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum disciplines preferred
