CNC Machinist

Peninsula Iron Works Portland, OR (Onsite) Full-Time
Derived Salary: $59K - $68K/Year

Peninsula Iron Works is currently seeking to hire a CNC Machinist.

We are a 105-year-old machining, fabrication & engineering company based in the St. Johns area of Portland. Our specialty is very large and complex components with part weights up to 100,000 lb. We will provide crane safety training as well as instruction on handling components of this size safely. We are a job shop, which means the scenery changes weekly allowing our team members to gain a great deal of experience and knowledge under on roof.

Basic Description

  • Monday -Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Setup parts on multiple machining centers including horizontal mills, vertical
    mills, vertical boring mill and more
  • Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawing
  • Use industry standard measuring and inspection tools (i.e. Micrometers,
    calipers, etc)
  • Deburr and inspect completed components to ensure the quality and
    accuracy prior to shipment to customers
  • Run multiple projects on multiple machines simultaneously

Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience required
