Transportation Engineer

Title: Civil Engineer – Roadway, Highway

Position Status: Full Time

1. Provides component design of complex projects and direct project designs for less complex projects using computer design software, referencing appropriate engineering procedures and design manuals.
2. Prepares specifications for project bids.
3. Use technical tools effectively (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
4. Assist with quality reviews and reviews own work.
5. Prepares permit applications according to code and regulatory requirements.
6. Prepares opinions of probable cost according to bid data.
7. Assist in development of scope and budget schedules as requested.
8. Responds to customer needs and expectations while acting as an advocate for the customer to superiors on issues that could affect long-term relationships.
9. Using Vision reporting, identifies and researches potential projects and reports to the company, according to the marketing plan.
10. Participates in assessment of technical qualifications of new recruits as required.
11. Involved in business development activities as directed.

1. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
2. Design experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and MicroStation.
3. 2+ years of related experience in a technical environment.

1. Monday through Friday.
2. Flexible working hours.
3. This position could require additional work outside of regular hours as necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position.
