Job Description

Job Description Performs accounting, financial analysis and forecasting duties which requires a broad knowledge of accounting, financial, earned value management or cost estimating theory and practice. Records, classifies, examines, analyzes, and reports on data related to financial transactions to ensure current, accurate and complete financial information. Collects, summarizes, and analyzes financial/cost data for use in developing performance measurements, earned value management reporting and operational trends.


Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education Responsibilities include:
  • Significant program team contributor. Coordinating team meetings and reviews and offering solutions to problems
  • Serving as the right hand man or woman to the program manager
  • Working with the contracts department for funding, billings, and other contractual items
  • Creating and influencing program baselines through earned value management
  • Developing and monitoring program risks and opportunities, such as cost overruns and scheduling delays
  • Developing financial forecasts and deeply analyzing estimates at completion
  • Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements both internally and externally
  • Interfacing with customers
  • Reporting financials to management
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, ProPricer, and Cobra
  • Experience with project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment
  • Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines
  • Experience with Cost Plus programs
  • Understanding and knowledge industry practices and standards as well as company policies
