Accounting/Accounting Advisory Writer - Nationwide, USA

This is a fully remote position and is open to candidates located anywhere in the US.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A Brafton Accounting/Accounting Advisory Writer is dedicated to producing strong, creative and industry-specific pieces that are incorporated into content marketing campaigns for Brafton's accounting clients. Client experience is paramount for us, meaning you are expected to communicate directly with client contacts via video calls and email. Viable candidates must handle long-form articles, white papers, eBooks, case studies, landing pages, infographic outlines and video blog scripts based on an approved brief.
The Accounting/Accounting Advisory Writer must be comfortable writing to a B2B audience, as well as writing and researching confidently on deadline. It's imperative that candidates have experience working in, writing about and/or SME in the following areas:
* Accounting advisory, specifically knowledge of best accounting and advisory practices and the ability to provide strategic recommendations based on real-world market trends.
* General business knowledge, as well as an understanding of how financial trends apply to government, oil and gas, and other sectors.
* Niche financial topics, including valuation models, SEC rules and regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and financial restructuring.
This is a full-time or part-time contract position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Research, create, revise and deliver high-quality content to clients according to specified deadlines.
* Work with Project Managers and Content Marketing Strategists to ensure our clients' expectations and goals are met.
* Virtually attend project, client and team meetings.
* Brainstorm and pitch topics.
* Conduct keyword research and SEO briefs.
* Track writing and editing production work on a daily basis using our in-house project management system.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
* 1-3 years of relevant content marketing industry writing experience.
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
* Excellent writing and editing skills with an extreme attention to detail.
* Comprehensive understanding of SEO and best practices for branded writing.
* Strong, efficient research abilities and the ability to quickly learn, understand, and write about complex subjects.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
* A creative approach to client briefs and content marketing goals.
* Strong videoconferencing presence for client meetings.
* A self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members in a fully remote environment.
* Knowledge of AP (Associated Press) Style is a plus.
