Environmental Specialist II
Shift: 6am-6pm and Weekends
The candidate would be responsible for non-supervisory tasks on hazardous and non-hazardous waste work projects.
Processes and assists with all manifesting, packaging, waste profiling, spill response, decontamination operations, vacuum projects, performing and documenting daily inspections.
Coordinates transportation, and samples/profiles material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
This is a hands-on position which requires strong communication/customer service skills as well as computer skills to track/log all of the materials being transported and the ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment as needed
Ability to multi-task and be self-sufficient.
Job requires working weekends and holidays
High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
A valid driver’s license required
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science discipline preferred
Prior work experience in the hazardous waste/related industry preferred
40-hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred
Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred
Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen.
