Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Network Engineer
This is a Full time/Permanent position, looking for W2 candidates unable to use C2C/1099

SPECIFICS: Layer 2, 3 – BGP, 802.1.ac, advanced ACL control, virtual networking, VMWare distributed switching, fiber channel storage layer, 10Gbe switching. 

VMware and VEEAM a plus to have – any specific knowledge of DELL/EMC VMAX, Isilon, Data Domain technology a plus -
 
Job Description:

Skill Set’s that would be required for an individual to effectively administer and support our current infrastructure (again listed by importance):


•VMware Administration (virtual networking (distributed switches, LACP, VLAN Trunks, LAG’s, vKernel adapters by service)
•Backup & Replication administration (monitoring and maintaining backups based on businesses RTO and RPO requirements)
•Network provisioning & support (Layer 2, Layer 3 routing w/ ACL’s, Layer 7 WAF, Layer 7general Firewall, VPN policy, dedicated network zones 12+ VLAN’s per site, BGP)
•Active Directory (administering GPO, Users, Groups, Encryption, and general domain services)
•DNS (administration of DNS on godaddy’s public DNS records, windows domain controllers, local servers and workstation’s host files)
•DHCP (administration of DHCP pool’s on windows domain controllers)
•Local server firewall administration (creating and supporting policies on local linux & windows firewalls) Vulnerability monitoring and patching (leveraging Qualys and Solarwinds tools)
•Physical Infrastructure implementation and support (patch, provision, and troubleshoot physical servers, switches, firewalls, workstations, wireless devices, KVM’s, etc…)

•Persistence (Someone that understands that “good enough” is not acceptable and will take the time to seek answer’s even if it means accomplishing the task at hand will take longer
•Self-Accountability (Someone that has the ability to ensure their work and the platforms that are under their governance meet the outlined business requirements without having a peer check up on their work)
•Communication (Someone that is transparent in their work and is willing to have open communication channel’s with Executives, Developers (onshore & offshore) as well as general employee’s)
•Agility (Someone that has the ability to be agile in their work, being a small company we require an individual to often shift between tasks at a moment’s notice based on the requirements of the business)
