Kelly Services is actively seeking an Accounting Analyst for Nissan at their Franklin, TN location. This is a long-term indefinite contract opportunity to join a great team! Accounting Analyst Minimum Qualifications - Job Knowledge and Skill: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); basic understanding of International Accounting Standards (IAS); strong knowledge of assigned accounting area with good knowledge of financial statement preparation; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. • Self-starter with the ability to function without supervision; ability to prioritize, and complete multiple assignments; able to improve efficiency through process improvements and automation. • Experience: 3-5 years of related experience at a professional level. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related degree preferred • Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel, and other PC applications. SAP knowledge and mainframe applications preferred." Job Description Provides expert-level support of Accounts Receivable operation. Maintains accounts and records for applicable companies in US and Canada to properly reflect accounts receivables. Compiles and analyzes complex financial information to prepare reports, makes general ledger entries, reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries. Describe the principle, core primary tasks that a person in this position performs daily. • Prepares reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to the various records. • Analyzes complex general ledger accounts, prepares reconciliations, researches open items and account discrepancies; coordinates resolution of difficult issues with management and other department representatives. Makes recommendations and can implement solutions. • Prepares periodic reports such as aging, audit support, management, and miscellaneous reports. • Reviews complex issues, journal entries and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions posted to the general ledger and related issues prior to settlement. • Participates in the scoping, planning, design, testing, modification and installation of accounting systems and related software programs. • Regularly reviews processes for improvements, makes recommendations and can implement solutions. • W2/ HOURLY PAY RATE: Open (based upon experience and qualifications) • There is no “per diem” with this position • There is no relocation budgeted for this position.
